The seller has pulled out, one week before contract due to complete.

How could they? How dare they? Why is it happening to me? What have I done to deserve this? More crucially, what have my kids (aged 3 and 1) done to deserve this?

I am not melodramatic. We need that house. What am I suppose to do now? It is end of June. 3 months to October. Yes, October is the deadline. Deadline for moving house. Deadline to apply for the lovely primary school in the next village.

My children need to go to the village school. Don't get me wrong, we don't live in some inner city. In fact, our local school is very popular. Esate agents actually use the local schools as a selling point of our house, and it went very quickly. What with my children being so bright, they need a lot of stimulation and extra opportunities to develop themselves. The local school, with 90 children in one year, 30 children in each class, just won't do. On the other hand, the village school has class size comparable to private school, without the fees, of course. Only THIS school will do.

How are we going to get them in the school now, with only 3 months to go. Plan B!

But what is Plan B? I don't have one. I am so organised, I was going to move into our (not now) new house next week, exactly 3 months before the deadline. I do not need a plan B. Or so I thouhgt.

Must go, things to do:
- go through alternative schooling options with husband tomorrow - what about prep school, local school round the corner, local school down the road, home schooling...
- search for new property NOW - might be able to find, buy and move in new property in 3 months, am pushing it, but must try, for the sake of the kids,
-ring estate agent first thing in the morning.
